Mushroom farmers in the San Joaquin Valley have developed a new hybrid stain of Mushroom. But as some of you may know hybrids are not able to reproduce without an assist from modern science. Despite this formidable obstacle, farmers in the central valley are now producing record numbers of this tantalizing fungi, with 99% of their sales going to farmer markets in the Bay area. The reason for this phenomenon remains a mystery. However some buyer's at the San Francisco markets have reported they just had an uncontrollable urge to reach out and grab these miracles of modern science.
