Jane Mansfield 1933 - 1967

I was a big Jane Mansfield fan and living on the Mississippi gulf coast on the night she and some friends were driving back from Biloxi to New Orleans and met with that fatal accident.  At that time rumors had her decapitated in the accident, but later it was learned only a portion of her skull was missing as a result of the car wreck.  Well enough of that.  During her short career she only made a few movies.  The one that stands out in my mind is the 'Girl Can't Help It'.  The night club scene where Little Richard sings 'She's Got It' was my favorite part of the show.  The image of Jane to the right is one of those I like best.  She loved her little dogs.  Unfortunately she had one with her on the nite of her death.  It didn't survive!
